PRESENTING 2016 FRANK THE TANK
Limited time offer – Bordeaux Blend $25
For the last three years, we have had the honor of working closely with the team at Ethan Stowell Restaurant (ESR) group to create a custom Red Wine Blend for glass pour and bottle service in their many Seattle area establishments. The name “Frank the Tank” is in honor of one of Ethan’s two sons and the label (illustrated by Seattle Artist - Stacey Rozich) certainly sets an expectant tone for what might be to come.
This is truly a serious wine, sourced from many of the same vineyards that we use to build the rest of our Bordeaux style blends Gravura, Sestina, and Valery. Chris recently opened a bottle and offered these reflections on the 2016 vintage.
"The 2016 Frank is a great expression of one of the finest recent Washington vintages. Black cherry, blueberry, mocha, anise seed, and graphite lead in the aromas. The entry is perfectly round and silky, especially for such a young wine. This wine sits gracefully on the mid-palate, with milk chocolate, rubbed sage, and Bordeaux mineral notes supporting the burgeoning fruit, which expands as the wine sits in the glass. The finish is satisfying and persistent, a perfect match to all manner of rich braised and grilled meats and poultry." - Chris Peterson, Winemaker
Until now, this wine has only ever been available at an ESR establishment. Exceptionally, and for a limited time, we wanted to kick off 2019 with a special offer to celebrate the release of this new vintage and our terrific relationship with Ethan and his team.
Starting today, we are offering our list members a chance to purchase this wine for only $25 (club member discounts apply). It will be available for pickup at our Woodinville tasting room from February 1st through the 10th when the offer expires. Please note this wine will not be in stock until February 1st. For any out-of-state orders, we will hold your shipments until weather allows (typically our shipping window re-opens in March), but all orders must be placed no later than February 10th.

For a limited time, we'll be pouring Frank in our Woodinville Tasting Room as part of our tasting menu lineup. Please note that while you are able to pre-order Frank on our website now, pickups are not available until Friday, February 1st. It will not be in stock until then! Last day to purchase and taste is Sunday, February 10th. After that, you'll only find it at an Ethan Stowell Restaurant.
